NatureKast Outdoor Kitchen Feature

For this month's Vendor Feature we'll be mixing things up a bit as we take a larger look at outdoor kitchens; Which happens to be this month's partnered vendor, NatureKast, very own specialty. Terry Baker, the Director of Design and Marketing for NatureKast, was graciously willing to provide an inside look on how NatureKast revolutionizes the outdoor living style from home. We hope you all enjoy reading through this inside look into NatureKast and how outdoor kitchens change how you enjoy your backyard.

Is there any creative influence that the designer(s) draw from when working on an outdoor kitchen design or is it more customer dependent to come up with their own design?

Many of our designers come from a kitchen design background and use the same 3D programs, so they often drawn on similar creative influences. With NatureKast, it is easy for designers to design a run of cabinetry that fits anywhere on the stylistic design spectrum from Modern, through Transitional to Traditional. We offer a wide range of door styles and finishes to allow designers freedom of expression when designing NatureKast outdoor kitchens. Home owners can have a big say in this and we often see a blurring of the lines between traditional interior design spaces and NatureKast exterior spaces. Many customers are looking to bring aspects of their taste into their back yards too.

What do you believe helps distinguish your company from others in the home design industry?

We have decades of experience in the interior cabinetry industry. We brought insights gathered from that space into our extensive product offering and production methodologies, tailored to the outdoors. We rely on artists in our finishing department to ensure that each kitchen does feel unique and not a cookie-cutter replica of your neighbors' NatureKast kitchen.

The outdoor kitchen lifestyle has recently been revolutionized with the emergence of the pandemic. Outdoor Kitchen Designers Matt Herbert of Sherwood Outdoor Kitchens and Kerrie Kelly of Kerrie Kelly Designs had some intriguing insight to provide in NatureKast's Luxury Outdoor Kitchens Qualitative Research Study.

They provided the following, "There is a massive increase in high-end outdoor kitchens. COVID-19 changed things for people. Spending $1000 on a meal downtown, in a mask, in a private box, ruined the experience of a high-end restaurant. People changed how they entertained at home. They want to be outdoors. The focus is on the experience now. And cooking outdoors at home is cooler than going to a restaurant. High-quality food, high-quality cooking, high-quality environment." - Matt Herbert.

Back to our questionaire with Terry, we concluded by asking him about NatureKast's upcoming products and promotions to which he shared, "Our most unique product is the material itself, which allows us to achieve the most realistic wood look and feel of any product in the outdoor cabinetry market, while remaining fully weatherproof. The product is versatile and really fun to work with. This allow us freedom to be innovative and design some unique products, like our bowed front drawers for ceramic grills and the Evo cooktop. We are also proud of our cabinetry produced to house all the outdoor Galley Workstation accessories."
